The WSHS PTSA is now accepting nominations for Officer positions for the 2026–2027 school year for the
following positions:
- President
- 1st Vice President
- 2nd Vice President
- Treasurer
- Secretary

STATUS UPDATE, May 2, 2026:
The majority of incumbent officers have offered to serve again, and we have received some nominations
from parents interested in serving next year. Thank you to everyone who has already stepped forward!
In order to have a PTSA, a minimum of these two positions are required: President and Treasurer.
We are especially in need of a volunteer to serve in the role of Treasurer for the 2026-2027 school year.
The Treasurer position primarily involves some simple spreadsheet work and monthly summaries of the
PTSA’s financial status. The Treasurer attends the monthly members’ meetings and occasional executive
board meetings. Each year, our PTSA averages 8 checks to bring to the bank to cash, and about the same
number of checks to write. The Treasurer keeps relevant documentation (i.e. bank statements and
expense approvals) and compiles that documentation at the end of the year for the PTSA’s audit process.
This position requires about 5 to 10 hours per month of time spent outside of meetings, and our current
treasurer is available next year to help the new Treasurer transition into the role.

Nominations to this committee will close at 11:59 PM on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
Nominations will be presented at the PTSA meeting on Tuesday, May 12 at 7:30pm.
After that, there is an opportunity for nominations to be made directly to membership at the June 2 PTSA
elections meeting prior to voting on next year’s officers.
